Well got computer access finally. ( RIGHT AT THE END OF THE TRIP )

Well g'day to all you cyberspace fans out there, who have been waiting with baited breath for the next installment of wombats european vacation. LOL
Well as you are aware of the debacle of the trip over from my first post, everything has gone nice and smoothly ( albeeit the mother-in-law, :0( but thats something else altogether and wont be discussed here )
The trip, well the trip up to Scotland was - well - all i can say is WOW, what a Beautiful place it is, and the people are so friendly LOL ( They LOVE our accent, go figure ) Have heaps of piccys fromm there so will post some at a later date after i get back home, even the one of me in a kilt, and before you ask YES i was a tru scotsman LOL.
Then after 3 weeks up in Bonnie Scotland we then made our way down to Horwich just outside of Manchester for around 12 days in the end ( didnt really want to stay that long - wanted to go back up to Scotland after 5 days ) sites we went to while there was the Lake District - Beautiful area. Blackpool - only for a cuppla hours what a Tacky place that is, and people keep going back for holidays every year, Yuck, its never sunny and blows a gale and is like a mini Vegas but dirty. Clitheroe - Beautiful little village, very much like Edinborough but smaller and a slower pace, we liked it and could find ourselves living there quite easily. Accrington - where Fiona caught up with a rellie that found her on the internet last year sometime. Rain didnt dampen our spirits as we didnt have time to be complaicent so hired a car for 6 days and did some driving around on our own ( well sort of :0( ) That was an experience and was good to, nice narrow roads, people parking the wrong way on the roads and roundabouts with traffic lights on them, ( sort of defeats the purpose of the round a bout now doesnt it ). Carlisle - back up to here and then hang a left and made our way out to have a look at part of Hadrians Wall ( a wall built by the romans to keep out the Barbarians (Scots ) LOL ) then from there back up to fionas other aunties where we stayed at the beginning and called in to pick up the bagpipes, coffee, sanga, then back on the road to Horwich - so left at 9am and got back at 10.30pm that night driving into the worst rain since we got here, it absolutely BUCKETED DOWN.
Bus to London for a look around 3 days prior to going over to Europe. London what can i say - not as nice as Edinborugh the historic sies are good city lights at nice are nice, but everyone is in a big bloody hurry, but saw some good stuff - Tower of London, cruise up the Thames, Churchills cabinet warrooms, and Maddame Tassauds Wax museum - the later 2 you need longern than you think as theyy are huge.
Well got to go now, as someone else here at the hotel wants on the computer, so will write about the European time of the trip after i get back home. And add some piccy's of all the places we visited.
So for know, Bonswar, Gutentag, arivaderci, seeya later cobber. LOL
The wombat waddels off to bed as well as he is Very tired to

Update - 2nd Week In.

Well g;day to all you cyberspace fans out there areadin this here post LOL.
What can i say WOW this place is uterrly amazing , Scotland and Bloddy hilly, every where you go its hills and stairs, i dont know how im doin it half the time but its all good.
Last week we went up to the Highlands for a 3 day tour up there and it was also utterrly amazing. ( Can ya tell im havin a good time - WELL IM HAVIN A BALL ) we did Stirling Castle and a few places i cant remember at the moment and finished up at Oban, then we left there and headed over to fort william by way of Steyn Bridge etc and spent the night at Fort Augustus ( Loch Ness ) did the tour boat and got a cuppla piccy's of nessie :0) left there and went to Urqhart Castle on the banks of Lochness it was great, and in its day would have been a spectacular site, no wonder they built it there as well as other reasons (good defensive positioning). from here we travelled up to Fort George (via Inverness) and that to was another BIG place and is still being used by the military, currently the Black watch Regiment are stationed there, to this day we have roughly 1000 piccy's which i cant add to the blog as we dont get to long on here ( Library) by the time u check your e-mails etc so will be posting some after i get back home.
Went to see the Edinborough Military Tattoo that was brilliant even tho it rained, but you never really noticed it as u were to busy enjoying the show, but when we left it Bucketed down so were glad to get back home that night
Weve had beautiful weather and rainy weather ( summer here) LOL so it hasnt stopped us as its quiet humid after the rain stops, for that matter even walking around in t-shirts on occassions. And i do stirr up the local Jocks when they say it's roasting, while im standing with a jacket on sayin this aint hot u should come back to Aus and you'll find out what hot is LOL. But theyre all friendly and keep buying me whiskeys which is great, i even think there's a plan for me to get into a Kilt this weekend at some stage, mmm LOL
Anyhow for now the wombat waddells off
Wavin at ya from the other side of the world :0)

Sunny Scotland....I think NOT LOL

Well Geddaye to all you cyberspace fans, well we are hear in Scotland, and might i add what a Beautiful place it is. ( when its not been raining :0).....)
currently using the internet at the library in Gorebridge so wont be on for long as you get kicked off, must be everyone else trying to reach the outside world LOL.
Went to the military Tattoo the other rnifght (Gaelic for night LOL ) it was a great experience and started to rain but that didnt put the dampners on the event and u didnt really notice it at all until we went to leave and then it pelted down. ( not bad considering its there summer here )
i think the second or third dayy we were here it rained and we didnt think much od=f it at the time but the following day roads and train lines had been cut due to flooding, and we found out later that they had 3 weeks worth of rain in a 24 hour period and between 10pm and 2 am over half had fallen. Still got some more touring around to do up here before we head down to the Manchester area so all is well (especially now i got me luggage) and getting plenty of piccys of the place

Finally Here.........Yeehaaaaaa ( wat a shitfight ) LOL

Well hello out there allyou cyberspace fans. Well finally here in Wee Bonnie Scotland, after a few slight hiccups (LOL)
left home for the airport at 5.30pm to be at the a/port for 9.30pm flight, got to the airport and low and behold the flight had been pushed back out to leave at 2.am the following morning, as the plane was still in Auckland N.Z, with a minor mechanical problem which was being fixed. he next thing we knew it was out to 3. am due to the same problem so was to be refixed ( we asked if they could just give us another plane :0) ) then later it was back out further to 4.am the next morning. So we waited and waited and waited, getting the shits as the night wore on. Finally boarded the plane and didnt actually take off until 4.30am the sunday morning, to say we were tired and cranky is an understatment, as all our connecting flights were then up the shit from the original times.
Arrived in Dubai at the time we would have been landing at Heathrow, Hardly slept tried getting help from the help desk there, and they were as useless as tits on a bull (LOL) and Arrogant. we eventually got a phone card and made an international call to Fiona's Aunty to tell them what was happening as they were picking us up from Edinbourough A/port, All good although Fiona was over the whole thing by this time and was ready to packup and head back home ( i was standing well back as the tension was real high and was liable to get my head ripped off for asking the simplest question ). Left Dubai and headed for Heathrow, arrived, and had to hurry to the next gate to check in for our later flight.while there we were told to hurry as we only had 3 minutes to check-in, so quickly did that and boarded the plane. Got up to edinborough at 11pm- disembarked- looked for luggage, only to find it wasnt on the flight and told to ring the next morning as it would be on the first flight up the next day.Rang the following morning they couldnt find the luggage so had to ring back later. (to cut a long story short as it just pisses me off having to go over it again LMAO ) 3 bags got delivered on Tuesday with 1 still missing - MINE. Which eventually turned up Wednesday after some ugly calls to BM airlines.
for the Holiday so far, absolutly Beautiful place its like stepping back in time and not just parts of the city but most of the villagas as well ( Tudor Period ) been to a cuppla places but got rained out yesterday so headed back home for the day, didnt do much today as the same RAIN - Summer in the UK- LOL.
More dramas we brought a prepaid internet card for the computer only to realise that Fiona forgot to pack the modem so at this stage i am up at the Library in Gorebridge using there's so what i wanted to do isnt really going to happen and i stuck over the other side of the world with no outside communication Hahahahaha, but we will percervere and try and work out something as we go along, so up dates arn't going to happen as much as i would have liked. So thats why you are seeing this post now as i have a visitors pass to the library ( free internet)
Well for now the wombat waddells off ( as i have to see if i can check our e-mails )

ANOTHER almost Pre-trip Fiasco

Well a big hello out there to all you cyberspace fans, :0)
Only 2 WEEKS to go didya get that 2 WEEKS today so this time on the saturday night i will be on a plane and been in the air for an hour, with only 13 more hours till we get to our stopover in Dubai.
Anyhow at the start of the week the new school term resumed and all was going good, then on the Tuesday, Fiona got a call from our son Nathan at lunchtime from school, telling her that he had hurt his leg and it was hard to move as it was #caining him# (as he put it ) LOL
Anyways, Fiona asked him what had happened and he told her that in P.E. they were doing backflips off a small type trampoline and someone had moved the mat, so when he came down he had hit his knee on the floor and the teacher had just said to him to move the mat so no-one else would do the same thing. Never checked him or sent him off to the sick bay (whatever happened to Duty of care )mmm Not happy Jan !!!!
Well Fiona told Nathan to go to the sick bay and see the nurse before it started to swell, when he replied it already is, so with thathe went off to the sick bay. A little while later the nurse from the sick bay rang and asked us which Dr did we use as his knee was REALLY SWELLED UP and didnt look that crash hot and he could hardly walk, and thought that he may have popped his kneecap out. (Fionas thinking - great thats all we need 3 weeks out from the trip )
Well the nurse took Nathan to the Drs, and Fiona left work early to come home and make sure he was alright,by the time she got back into town she went straight to the Drs in case they were still there ( which they were - they were just coming out )so she met up with them and Nathan got into the car so he could be taken home. The Nurse had said that when they first got there even the other nurses and the Dr thought (by looking at the size of the swelling ) that yes he had Popped his Kneecap out, so organised an X-ray to check it, as it worked out he hadnt popped it out but had Badly bruised it and the swelling was due to the internal bleeding, so they Pressure Bandaged the area around his knee and put a sort of elastic type stocking on over the top of it to stop it from swelling any further ( shit i reckon the horse has already bolted, when i saw it that night ) and gave him the next day off school. So when i got home from work he was moving around the house on the crutches that i had, from when i broke my ankle some 4 years ago, and when i asked him how his knee was - well its just cainin me dad dont touch it.
Wednesday when i got home from work i looked at his kneeand it was still up like the goodyear blimp so i told him, i didnt think he should go to school on the thursday as well ( and i wasnt hearing any complaints - not that i was expecting any LOL )and we would take another look on the thursday night, Fiona rang the school on the Thursday and spoke to the year co-ordinator and told her that he wouldnt be in again that day, and Fiona told her what had taken place on the Tuesday (as she didnt know anything about it ) and that we were not happy. ( Isnt communication just wonderful at that school )
Thursday night i again checked his knee - still swollen and very hard to walk (by now hes down to 1 crutch) so i said he may as well stay home again on the friday and rest it more and Fiona was going to take him back to the Drs and get someone else to have a look at it.
Fri - Fiona took him in to see another Dr, ( had to wait 1 and 1/2 hours)Got checked and he said yes its badly bruised and theres alot of fluid in there and when he landed on his knee, he had probably done some damage but couldnt be sure until the swelling went down competely and the kneecap was probably rubbing on the joint, but he would be right to fly when we leave. ( Oh relief :0) )
Friday night the pressure bandage came off and he has a descent size bruise on the knee, with more bruising coming out on the Saturday, and probably more to come. And i never even got a piccy of it to post :0(
oh well.
Alls well in the end, Hey did i mention we only got 2 WEEKS till we go Yeeeha

Getting closer !!!!!

Well Helllloooo to all you people out there in cyberspaceland. :0)
ONLY 3 WEEKS and 3 days....... didya see that ...... : 3 Weeks and 3 days to go, till the Overseas adventure begins, or should i say National Lampoons (wombats version) European vacation. LOL
I am doing this blog tonight on the Baby Laptop that we brought for the trip, the eeeeeepc (darin) as i thought that i had better give it a try and see how my fingers and EYES stand up to the smallness of this little gizmo. So as its stands i have been in the MS peer group site chat room tonight on here, and found using this lappy a little bit more difficult but only because of the size of screen (7 inch) and small keyboard, whereas i am used to a bigger screen normally... or a normal size laptop, we also have a baby size mouse to go with it and i had problems to no-end using that but only because of my retarded fingers LOL, so i ended up changing the mouse with my wife so i have been using a normal one and shes got the baby one cos she can use it better than i, so i have made a suggestion that we take the normal mouse on the trip as well.
All in all apart from some problems using this (because of the lack of feeling and sensations i have in hands and fingers) if i take my time its not so bad, anyway my wife doesnt mind using it and doesnt have a problem so all will be good.
So only time will tell if it works out to be a good purchase for the trip. Size wise it is ideal.
Back to the trip, still looking for a hotel or B&B to stay at while in london just prior to the trip to europe as it is proving to be difficult to say the least (when your booking for 4) Fionas been looking into it for the last 4 nights with not alot of success as everywhere she has e-mailed were booked out for the times that we want, but as i am typing this we have success, with an enquiry that we sent about an hour ago, just looked at the site on the internet (mmm, Looking nice ) good reviews, so i think this ones a definite starter. - :0) Its all starting to come together. My bags packed, my sons bag - is half packed and my wife hasnt started yet :0/ lol. Yes - we are getting closer to takeoff, did i mention that we only have another 3 weeks and 3days to go ( not that im counting ) MUCH hahahaha.
Anyhow till next time - The Wombat waddells off

The MEGA meeting. :0)

Well Gedday again, all those out there in no-mans land. Its me again, just cant stay away of late (especially as the fog lifts from the brain and i remember stuff - it sucks to have MS )

Well as you all know i have MS, and as such am part of a very big Family here within our shores of Oz, i am just a small part in an on-line MS peer support group, where we have a chat room and newslinks, and forums, which is all very good and informative, especially for those who are new to MS and are unsure - scared -or the like, sort of like in Limbo and where do i go from here feeling.

You get to meet via the chat room a whole lot of people who are in the same situation as yourself, and talk about everyday happenings wether it be MS related or just family stuff, pretty cool - and when you are feeling ill, down,or having another episode people can relate and you dont feel as alone as everyone is thinking of you and sends there best wishes etc.

Its funny that you can get into the chat room week after week or as much as you can and be chatting with all these wonderful, funny people from around the country, and some from o/seas occassionally, and as your sitting in the chair typing away you form a picture in your head of what each person looks like and the expressions on their faces as something funny is brought up., and believe me we can get some real funny shit going on in the chat room :0) LOL

Most of these people we will never get to actually meet in person as we are all very far apart from each other and dependant on circumstances ( some drive some don't etc ). a couple of weeks back in the chat room one night one of the other members was asking how things were and that she would be coming past my way on the sunday as she was heading up to Ballarat to see her parents on the weekend, i said if she lets me know what time she'd be passing thru i would go over to the footbridge which goes over the freeway and wave to her LOL, later on i sent her a PM ( personell message ) and said if she had time she was quite welcome to call in and have a coffee or tea or milo or water or whatever she drinks LOL. And it would be a break in the trip for her as it was a long drive from her home wayb out Gippsland way. Well the next morning, she rang me and asked for my address as she would be calling in to break up trip so would be glad for the break, Mega - aka Margaret arrived around the 3.30 mark and was here for around an hour - hour and a half, so it was finally good to meet and put a face to one of the people i had been chatting to for so long. :0) .

It was Fiona's ( my wifes) birthday and we had her mum and other family members around when Mega dropped in but hey all was good Mega said i should have told her and she wouldn't have called in, but i said it was fine and our meeting had been organised before all this so all was good, so she got to meet not only my wife and kids, but others from my wifes family as well LOL. She also got to meet the new Kitten as well. Anyhow after a cuppa tea and a chat it was time for her to be on her way, so some piccy's were taken buy Mega and by my wife and with that she left.

Mega aka Margaret and Me the wombat in the kitchen just prior to her leaving. :0)

For now the Wombat Waddells off ( till next time )

Our Daughters Eighteen !!!!!!!!!!!

Hello again all you cyber geeks LOL , i can say that as i'm definately not one as i aint that adventuress in case i bust something - Ha Ha Ha (and my wife probably wouldn't be to happy either.)

Were do i start, gee last friday "27th of June" our little girl ( who in the past 12 months, i believe was related to Damien Omen. LOL ) turned #18# by golly we - are getting on arn't we. lol

Well in the last 6 months or so we have been getting on a lot better than we had, which has been good and i have settled somewhat. So we decided to let her have a small party at home. She didn't make a fuss and just went with the flow and in the end decided that yes that would be good, so she made up list of a few of her close friends ( and i thought the list was going to be endless, as she has a lot of friends) but to my surprise she didnt have all that many in the end there were alot that didnt get an invite, and i'm probably thinking she didn't want to have a massive party at the house, as it might have got out of hand. So with the list made up comprising of Family and some of her friends, i think we ended up having about 38 people ( or something like that which wasn't to bad. ) My wife spent the day on Saturday getting the food organised and setting up the Party mode outside under the back Patio with lights, streamers and all that other parafenalia that goes along with having a shin dig, while i was getting the dogs pen ( that i had built for my sons dog for when she's on heat ) setup, to keep the dogs locked up and away from the partygoers that night.

Invitations had been sent out, and all was set for the night to kick off around 7.30 pm

Everyone was looking forward to having the party go off without a hitch, and we were also going to meet her Boyfriend of the last 8 months, properly for the first time. Who by the way, had been invited to dinner a couple of times, but always seemed to not show as something else came up, so our daughter came for tea but not him, and i had heard on the grapevine that he was shit scared of me as one of Danielles friends had said to him, early on in their relationship that i was en ex biker and pretty mean.......LOL ...... just the way i like it. ( keep em on there toes.) :0)

Well Danielle had gotten to our place earlier in the afternoon, so around 7.30 people started to arrive and everything started to get underway, then Dani's boyfriend and some others who were invited showed up, while i was out the front with my eldest son moving cars onto the front lawn. The first conversation that we had went something like ( the b-friend walking up and in a deepish kind of voice ..Hi - howareya - do ya drink ? REPLY was Hi - what, yea, the front doors open everyones out the back just head on thru. With that they headed off thru the house only for me to catch up very shortly picking up my drink off the kitchen bench on the way thru and the b-friend seeing this and saying oh ya drink scotch i used to drink that but me mates got me onto the bourbon instead. By this stage i thought to myself that things wern't going to go along well at all over the course of the night, but went on regardless and didnt say to much to upset my Daughter as it was her birthday.I spoke to Johnny the B-friend a couple of times over the course of the night but was mingling with everyone else as well, so was doing the rounds, only to have my daughter come up to me later that night and ask me was i talking to johnny as he had said that he had tried to talk to me a few times and that i would answer as a yep....yep....yep....to whatever he was asking or talking to me about. I did reply to her that i was talking to him and that i was also doing the rounds and chatting with everyone else as well. so all was well

Over the course of the night Photos were taken of most people including photos with Mum,Dad,Daughter and Boyfriend, (so im not holding any grudges...or i'd have kicked him out LOL )

Later on in the night, the Karaoke got a kick start and Fiona (my wife) who was pretty happy (if ya know what i mean ) was inside singing away, during this time johhny was in the house and got an earful from Mother re looking after our Daughter (hehehe) he's had a few drinks and starts to carry on about how he loves our daughter and that we dont understand to which Fiona said how long do you think her father and i have been together......25 years, which he replied.....oh you do understand and sauntered back off to his mates. (Aargh kids nowadays think they're the only ones who know anything about this stuff :0) )

Anyhow the night went along quite well, no gatecrashers, no fights, people were having a good time food and drink was had by all and the night ended well around 1.30 in the morning.

The following day when our Daughter called in, she thanked us again for having the party for her and she was wrapped with it and everything for the night. So alls well that ends well.
Oh well only one more to go and thats Nathan who will be 18 in 3 more years.
" oooooooohhhhhhhh "
Where does the time go, it only seems like yesterday that they were only babies, or for that fact we were 18 ..... :0)
Anyhow thats it for now as the Wombat waddells off ( at a very slow pace )
Waving :0/

Another Mouth to feed :0) Meow

Well hooowdy to all you folk out there in cyberspace land, haven't had much new happen over the last 3 weeks or so........ OR HAVE I
Well yes, to start with around 3 weeks ago i got home from work and there was a kitten sitting in the bushes near the front door meowing away, so i had a look and it was very young probably about 5 or 6 weeks old, so being not such a cat lover i got the watering can and poured a little bit of water over it hopeing that it would go back from where it once had cometh :0). Well it took off up around the corner and hid behind the bins for a little bit then came back to the same spot and plonked its bum back downin the wet area again ( dumb kitten :0) ). So i headed back inside the house. When my wife got home from work she had a look at it while i was standing behind her ( saying dont you pick up that cat or it'll never leave ) when she picked it up she said your all wet, so i told her what i had done in the hope it would take off, well she picked it up and took it in the house to dry it off,(with me saying dont you feed it - put it back outside ). Well once it was dry she went outside with it and walked down the road where she then let it go. needless to say it followed her back home so she picked it back up and took it further away before letting it loose, then ran back to the house via the nature strip, but the kitten had started to follow her then got sidetracked by something in the air under the streetlight, so she then came back inside for the night.
The following Day when i left for work, i had a very quick look around but couldn't hear or see it so i headed off to work. On the way home i had been thinking about it on and off for most of the day and had thought that if it was still there i would have to take it inside and give it a drink and something to eat as by that stage it would have been about 2 days ( That i figured )that it wouldn't have had any nourishment, and for a kitten it would have been starving, and i'm not that heartless a bloke that i would let that happen. Well got home and the next door neighbor was out the front having a smoke and said ( theres a cat in my bushes somewhere meowing i can hear it but not see it,) i just grinned. With that he knelt down and looking it the shrubs said there it is, i said is it a grey colour, he said yep, i then said ( well it was at our house but now it yours ) and laughed. Well he doesn't lie cats either so he wasnt going to pick it up, he just started to stir it up, in the meantime my wife had got home from work and came over, so she picked it up to calm it down abit so i said we may as well bring it in and give it a drink etc, and keep an eye out to see if anyone advertises a missing kitten. ( High hopes LOL )
Night 1:- all went well, After giving her a drink ( which she gulped down ) gee i think she was thirsty. we gave her a little bit of food. She ( the kitten ) knows kitty litter and used it, and is the most friendliest little thing, i'm sitting in my recliner chair and she just sits on my lap and goes to sleep, happily purring away, a bed was made up for her in the laundry and thats where she went for the night.
Day 2 :- Got some more kitten food and more kitty litter, and some play toys for her, had a bit of a play with her. ( shes a funny bugger and quick darts around the house like a flash of lightening ) fed her at dinner time and she used the litter tray again. ( had been using it all the time) and for a small kitten when she does number two's - " pooey " - she stinks LOL. anyhow after more plays etc it was time for bed so i decided to take her and put her on our bed where i figured she could sleep for the night being that she was so good. Well after getting into bed she was chasing our feet ( which were under the dounna ) around the bed as we kept moving from one side to the other, she did some quite funny little jumps and rolls and pounces, so after a little while she laid down at the end of the bed and went to sleep. Early next morning i awoke to a purring around my ear drum ( she had decided to move on up the bed where we were and go to sleep ) and believe me as your laying there asleep and its quiet and you are woken by a purring that gets louder and Louder and LOUDER as it get closer - its quite funny (especially as the purring becomes a dull Roar when shes right above your ear. Well finally left her be and went back to sleep, only to wake later and wonder where she went, to find that shes asleep between the 2 pillows.
Day 3 :- Same as previous day
Day 4 :- Same
Day 5:- well was awoken again by the young Lioness roaming to the top end of the bed, but this time she was laying on the top of my pillow and slapped me over the head with her paw whilst purring into my ear, i moved her off and went back to sleep, only for her to do the same thing an hour and a half later - purring in ear like a bull horn, light paw slap -resting the paw on my face i woke and moved her again, went back to sleep. About two hours later the same thing she has wandered up to the top of the bed all the while the purring is getting louder and louder ( by this stage i'm awake but just laying still ) as she gets to my pillowwalks up it lays down purring right in my ear and brings the paw down to rest on the side of my face again, as i started to move she must have got a fright, as the claws came out (ouch) didnt scratch just claws out while paw still sitting there on the side of my face. so i lifted her and put her back down the end of the bed and went back to sleep. Next thing i knew the alarm went off, Christ i was buggered all day :0)
Days have gone by, by now and the wife has had her nights where the kitten goes and wakes her, (hehehe)
So where are we at now 3 weeks later, the kitten will come and sit on my lap while i am watching TV and go to sleep, much to my wifes annoyance ( as i was the one who poured water on her, and she's the one who feeds it ) LOL And i'm not doing to bad for someone who hates cats, and i'm the one who took her to bed with us BLAH BLAH BLAH :0) LOL
Well - Yes i have taken a shine to her, shes a funny little bugger and i dont mind her sitting on my lap or purring in my ear and all those other funny little things that she does.
As for her name well we couldn,t decide there was a few things mentioned but i had said for a kitten and with whats shes eating her stomachs getting bigger and bigger (shes getting a little puddy guts, so i started calling her Pud and so did my wife. after about the 2nd week some ginger was starting to come out around the back of her ears andsome down her back, so my wife said we should call her Meg! ( Ginger Megs ) i still call her Pud the wife calls her Meg, she calls her i call her LOL, but i have noticed that my wife does revert back to calling her Pud, so all is good LOL.
No-one has listed a kitten thats missing (Shock Horror) but we have come across an add, that was looking for a free home for a kitten that had been dumped at their place which isnt to far from our place, time frame was day before we found ours, its a male, very friendly, litter friendly and grey in colour, and around the same age. MMM maybe Puds brother, i'd say someones been dumping their cats litter off around the town. So i have now said that if anyone comes looking for a lost kitten , just say no - we haven't seen a lost kitten (as what we have, has now become part of the house .
So to sum up our Zoo, We have - 2 Bearded Dragon Lizards, 1 kitten, 2 dogs, 1 horse and 2 birds out in the aviary.

An ammendment to the zoo which i forgot about, the 2 birds (1 budgie and 1 cockatiel died)

In sons room on his computer , little sticky beak LOL

For now - the Wombat waddels off

Time is of the essence

Well, a big ...HELLO.... to all of you out there in cyberspace, just popping in to update my Blog as i havn't been in here for a while etc etc. and Darin its something new for u to read LOL.
The trip is a gettin closer and closer as we speak, and cant you see the big grin on my face as im typing this hahaha. Well lets see.......Today - i have 7 more weeks to go at work before i take the time off for the big trip, which means in 7 weeks and 1 day, buy this time i will be on the flight and on my way...YEEHA.
But on a funnier note my wife said to me tonight she doesn't think she has got enough time to be ready before we go away ( ALL WILL BE GOOD)
Passports Organised,
Airfares paid,
Travel Insurance Sorted (and they have covered me for the MS)
7 day European bus tour organised and deposit paid,
Aussie Dollars have been exchanged for Pommy funny money (we have been doing that when the exchange rate is good) so at this stage we still have more to exchange but just have to wait and keep an eye on the rates LOL
Visas for our european tour are not required (as i had to look into each country that we will be visiting and we will be fine with our passports)
So all we really need to do now is wait (for 7 more weeks and 1 day) get our clothes sorted, probably better go and look at getting some suitcases and carryon travel bags :0)
Been feeling a bit tired of late with my hands and fingers giving me the shits (as in harder to move fingers) Right eye playing up a bit has for the last 3 or 4 weeks, just hoping that im coming down with a cold or flu or maybe just rundown, co's that usually makes my symptoms worse, i'll see how im travelling next week, and if still like this will go and see me DR for a checkup.
Have my Neuro's app't the day before we leave so that gets that out of the road for another 6 months :0)
Well i'm ready to go, the son is ready to go.... and my wife is ready to go :0)
Only 7 weeks and 1 day to Go :0)meow

For now..... the wombat waddells off ....

My new Art Work

"Hello" to all you people out there in Cyberspace, if your lucky enough to have come across this site and be reading this.

Well for a while now i have been thinking about getting another Tattoo, so i was searching the internet for ideas and couldn't really find anything that jumped out at me, so i decided to design my own Tattoo, with an idea in mind, i did some more research and decided on doing a Tatt that incorporated what is essentially a part of me, and that is my
M.S.

Macarbre, "some may think", but not really, when you think of it. It is what i think about the MS and an easier way to describe it to others, and as a bloke i work with said you have taken your condition buy the throat and own it, which i suppose i have but never really thought about it that way before now.

Anyway back to the Tatt, i was trolling the internet looking for a Logo or an emblem for Multiple sclerosis and couldn't find anything, then i started to think "is there a ribbon, like the one for breast cancer -the pink one", for MS. Well i finally found it on a couple of sites, and if your interested in looking up that type of thing, when you type it in you need to put Awareness Ribbon. anyhow with a picture of the ribbon i was then able to sit down and make a few small changes and additions.
So i have the ribbon, i have the quotation - "The Stalker Within", and i removed the original writing from the ribbon and replace the Multiple Sclerosis with
MonSter
on the ribbon, i then went trawling the internet again for different pictures of claws and faces peering, eyes and whatnot so i had a lot of pictures to choose from and try to incorporate into the tatt.

With all this information in mind and written down on a sheet of paper,i could picture the end product, the hands being as crappy as they are, decided on taking my ideas and whatnot down to my local Tatt parlour and saw the tattooist "who has done my other tattoos in the past" and asked him for some help, we sat down and i showed him what i had, and described what i wanted, and could he draw it up for me. With that i left him and was waiting for a phone call from him within a few days.
Well thinking about it overnight i came to the conclusion that the size of the ribbon that i gave him, the picture of was going to be
TOO BIG , so i called in to see him after work the next day and asked if we could make a change to the design, he wanted to know what that was and i said we will make the ribbon smaller as i thought it would be to big, well he called me a shit "with a smile on his face"as he had already made the tatt up, but yea that shouldn't be a problem so just leave it with him and he would redo it.
the following night, when i got home work there was a message on my answering machine, that the new design was ready so i jumped back in the car and headed down to the tatt parlour to have a look, Well it was what i had envisaged, so with that i made a time to go in and get the Tatt done which was on the saturday afternoon.

Saturday
When Saturday finally came around i headed down to the tattoo parlour and when i walked in he was ready to start, so asking me where i wanted to put it i said, we will stick it on my right forearm as it is the most affected arm that i have from the ms and, i will either not feel it or it may be oversensitive so we'll see how it goes.

As i was about to sit down i pulled out a new picture of the Ribbon which showed the colours alot betterand gave it to him so he had a better idea of the colours, he looked at it then me and said you just love to make my life difficult dontchya and i just laughed and said i trust you, with a big grin on my face.
So shaving and placing the stencil on my right forearm we were all set to go and away we went. Pain wise there was bugger all or none whatsoever, and about an hour into it he was doing an area towards the bottom of my forearm and i could feel a pinching up in the shoulder area for about 2 mins then it went away. Not long after my wife rocked up to have a look and we all sat there shit stirring each other for the rest of the time while he was finishing the tatt.
Just as he was finishing up the Tattooist said it would look good with some eyes or face starting to come out of smoke/mist above the top of the tatt with eyes looking down or straight out,and with that he looked at my wife, saw her looking at him, then said theres that look i am getting from your wife "dont give him anymore ideas", but she just said no thats not what i was thinking, i was thinking yes that would look good with it. So with that we cleaned up and left and i was going to go back with some more piccy's for him to consider using.

PS - the original design tattoo, took about 2 hrs from start to finish ( but will now be more as we will add to it) LOL

The colouring in the ribbon represents the different areas that MS affects on a person, (picture a prism and the sun shining on it from different angles, it shows different colours)

" this is the original design in its finished state, now we are doing an addition to it."

Tuesday

Got home from work today and went straight down to the tattoist as i wanted to get everything finalised and ready to go so i can have this puppy finished off, after showing him some more piccys that i had, and looking at stuff he had, i have decided on what i am going to use in the addition piece,so am know booked in to see him and get it done Thursday week after work around 5.30, then that gives me 3 days healing time before i go back to work and struggle into my overalls.
So for now i will post this and i will update it after the work is finished, and add some more Piccy's.

Thursday 24/04/08

Well todays the day gunna finally get the tatt finished. Headed down to the tattoist a little earlier than what i had to which was just as well as the apprentice had booked someone else in after me and had only allowed an hour b/w appointments, so my tattooist wasnt all happy as he wanted to spend time with me and get it all finished,so we ended up starting as soon as i walked in,He didnt no wether he was going to get it finished but said he would get the outline done and take it from there. After doing the outline he then got all the shading done along with the eyes and highlights so then quickly lightly outlined the body area to be finished next time, which will be either the following friday or friday fortnight,so for know will just have to wait. "Bugger i was looking forward to getting it finished, but u know what they say good things come to those who wait".......So i wont add any piccy's of the addition as yet, as like me u will just have to wait as well. Ain't i a shit LOL

till next time

Fri 9/05/08

Well this is it ,today is the day that i get my Tatt finished off, woo-woo............... am i excited ( you bloody betchya i am) LOL. Any how headed down to the tattoo parlour tonight as i had the appointment made for 6.30, got there around 6.15 and headed in and basically got straight into it. All the original outline was gone over again ( on the second part of the tatt) as it was done very lightly originally so it had time to heal then it could be picked out and darkened were needed, so all outlining done and then some areas on the original were touched up where needed, (and that was only in some areas of the writing) so with the job now all done, it was around the 7.10pm - i was (am) as happy as a pig in shit, it came up a treat and i like how my tattoo design has turned out. So now i will put up a couple more piccy's of the tatt in its finished form.

Well now, with that done i will have to sit down and design something else for my other arm, LOL as i am starting to feel lopsided, and having said that i already have an idea for my next piece of body art, but for now you will all just have to wait and when i go ahead it will be put up as a new post. (again - gee im a shit lol ) Anyhow im off till next time .
for now - the wombat waddels off.

Nathans Pre Pre-trip fiasco

Hello to everybody out there in cyberspace land, am getting around to doing my second post.

So todays story is about my youngest Nathan. We have just come out of our Easter long w/end and everybody's back at work, the kids are on school holidays ( gee i wish i was at school again ) it doesn't seem that long ago when they were on holidays. Any how a parents worse nightmare sort of happened, Fiona got a call from Nathan around lunchtime that he had fallen off his bike, and nathan didnt make a big deal out of it, but went on to say that he had a cut near his eye that had been bleeding, and hurt his leg, Suffice to say Fiona asked him did he want her to come home and he replied "no i'm at my friends next door neighbors and she is a nurse so she's fixing it up for me".
Well the next door neighbor told nathan to put his phone on loudspeaker so she could talk to Fiona, and she said that she had cleaned it and she would put a dressing on it, "but it may need a couple of stitches", but should be alright if he doesn't ride his bike or get it wet for about 5 days.

Well fiona sent me a text at work telling me what had happened and that he was ok, which was all good.
When i got home from work i saw the area near his eye were he had cut it open, andasked him how it had happened, " well i was ridin me bike and me phone rang so i went to get it out of me pocket and nearly dropped it, but i caught it and when i looked up there was a parked car there and i ran into the back of the car" all with a smile on his face.
Well, when i heard that i thought it was quite funny and shook my head at him and asked him was he wearing his helmet, he said that he was and that it didnt really do anything for him, I just replied that he was probably lucky he was, as it could have been worse than it actually was. The reply back was nargh it didn't i still got me face cut.
Well you can argue till your blue in the face at the logic of kids nowadays, but it still was a funny story the way it happened.
Later tonight Fiona ended up taking him down to the Dr's as it was weeping abit, so it was checked out, he was given a tetanus shot and tommorrow he's going back to get a couple of stitches put in. He even used his phone to take some Happy snaps of his face just after the accident so when i get them on the computer i will add them into this post.
Oh and before i forget, there was no damage to the car, and no damage to his bike, Only the boy who thinks of himself as a Crusty Demon.

i still laugh when i think about it.

"I'm riding along and went to get me phone when i looked up there was a parked car there, and i ran into it"

Well till next time - the wombat waddells off

Wednesday update:- Nathan went back to the Dr's today and they had to put in 3 stitches, to the gash near his eye.

Boys will be boys.

My first time Blogging ( this will be fun)

Hello, to all you people out there in Cyberspace. If you are lucky enough to be reading about me, my family, my life and travels - no matter where it leads, Good Luck to you (and me - for that matter). You will probably find out somewhere along the track that i sometimes ramble on. (well to bad co's this is my blog) LOL

Anyway for those who don't know, i was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis back in June 2006, and yep that was a big kick in the guts, as my Mum had it for 17 years and we (the Family) were always under the impression that it wasn't hereditory.

When i was diagnosed i told the Neurologist then, about my Mum and he said that it wasn't hereditory, but was a Gene thing, "WELL HELLO" were does he think we get our Genes from - off the bloody clothesline or just line up down at K-mart and buy from there. Sometimes i wonder what is going thru there minds when they make comments like that.

Anyhow such is life and we move on as best as we can, somedays are good, somedays are tolerable and others especially when its hot (weather wise) its just downright crappy.

Now the hardest things that i have to come to terms with is the fact that i can't do alot of the things that i used to do,but being a stubborn little bugger i will still try and do what i can even though sometimes it takes me longer to do them, as i dont have the luxury of fine motor skills in my hands and fingers, but i muddle thru. And learning how to ask for a bit of help when i need it,at first it was hard especially from a mans perspective as i think pride was getting in the way on some occassions ( like, i can do this ive done it before plenty of times,i will do it again.but to no avail as the fingers or hands just wouldn't do what my mind was wanting them to do.)Anyway enough of this twaddle for know, as i said life sucks but we move on.

Married to Fiona, the love of my life and we have 3 kids ,1 dog, a horse, and some budgies and cockatiel.... Oh and 2 Bearded Dragon Lizards.

Later this year Fiona and i and our youngest son Nathan and Fiona's Mum are going on a trip O/seas to the UK for around 6 weeks, so we are looking forward to that as we have never been O/S before,.... well i suppose technically we have, we went to Tassie back in 2005 i think it was, we flew over a stretch of water (which was the Ocean) so you could say weve been o/seas LOL, but others wouldn't see it like that -small minded little people. Anyway it's my blog i will say what i like.

anyway back on the subject - we are going to Scotland for about 3 weeks as thats were Fiona's rellies are from and there are still some living there, so we will haveour own personnel tour guides which is good and we'll be able to stay at a couple of her Aunties so accommodation for most of the trip is sorted,we will head down to England for a couple of weeks and while we are over that side of the world ,will try and do a Bus tour of Europe seeing as we are not that far from there.

Passports have been organised, and Airfares paid, so really we just need to save for some spending money but hey i'm ready to go now and looking forward to it.

Anyways thats all i have to say at the moment, for my first Blog i have probably ranted and raved and completly not got the point of a blog, but i do my best.

Till next time - the wombat waddles off
