Hello to everybody out there in cyberspace land, am getting around to doing my second post.
So todays story is about my youngest Nathan. We have just come out of our Easter long w/end and everybody's back at work, the kids are on school holidays ( gee i wish i was at school again ) it doesn't seem that long ago when they were on holidays. Any how a parents worse nightmare sort of happened, Fiona got a call from Nathan around lunchtime that he had fallen off his bike, and nathan didnt make a big deal out of it, but went on to say that he had a cut near his eye that had been bleeding, and hurt his leg, Suffice to say Fiona asked him did he want her to come home and he replied "no i'm at my friends next door neighbors and she is a nurse so she's fixing it up for me".
Well the next door neighbor told nathan to put his phone on loudspeaker so she could talk to Fiona, and she said that she had cleaned it and she would put a dressing on it, "but it may need a couple of stitches", but should be alright if he doesn't ride his bike or get it wet for about 5 days.
Well fiona sent me a text at work telling me what had happened and that he was ok, which was all good.
When i got home from work i saw the area near his eye were he had cut it open, andasked him how it had happened, " well i was ridin me bike and me phone rang so i went to get it out of me pocket and nearly dropped it, but i caught it and when i looked up there was a parked car there and i ran into the back of the car" all with a smile on his face.
Well, when i heard that i thought it was quite funny and shook my head at him and asked him was he wearing his helmet, he said that he was and that it didnt really do anything for him, I just replied that he was probably lucky he was, as it could have been worse than it actually was. The reply back was nargh it didn't i still got me face cut.
Well you can argue till your blue in the face at the logic of kids nowadays, but it still was a funny story the way it happened.
Later tonight Fiona ended up taking him down to the Dr's as it was weeping abit, so it was checked out, he was given a tetanus shot and tommorrow he's going back to get a couple of stitches put in. He even used his phone to take some Happy snaps of his face just after the accident so when i get them on the computer i will add them into this post.
Oh and before i forget, there was no damage to the car, and no damage to his
bike, Only the boy who thinks of himself as a Crusty Demon.
i still laugh when i think about it.
"I'm riding along and went to get me phone when i looked up there was a parked car there, and i ran into it"
Well till next time - the wombat waddells off
